About My Services
I am currently a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY) and registered with the Family Information Services (FIS). I am also registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) who have determined that I may care for up to 5 children, (inc my own) both boys and girls from birth up to 12 years. The CIW stipulate that no more than three of these children may be under 5 years, with no more than 2 being under 18 months.
In addition, I can also offer out of school care for children under and over the age of eight, and can collect and drop off from Clytha Primary School. The services I offer are open to all children and families regardless of age, race, gender or special need. Children in my care are treated with equal concern but I also recognise that children are individuals and therefore any discussion will be around their individual needs.
I like to work in partnership with parents to provide the very best level of care and attention only second to mum! I believe that a good ‘contract’ between childminder and parents leads to a good business relationship.
Terms and Conditions will be drawn up between my self and parents, detailing services required, emergency procedures, payments etc. The contract will be reviewed every 6-12 months to give all parties the opportunity to discuss any aspects that may require changing.
I offer a quality and cost effective service and will be happy to discuss charges for my services, meal arrangements, payment methods etc.
My hours of opening are Mon-Fri between the hours of 7.30am – 6.00pm but I will negotiate individual contracts depending on service required. I can also offer evening and weekend care at an additional cost.
If you are worried about your child settling in, we can arrange short visits to familiarise your child with my home. This will give you the opportunity to ask lots of questions and hopefully put your mind at rest about where your child will be spending their time. This also allows for information to be exchanged so I can find out about your child and what they like doing, and also about your family. All information given is treated as confidential.
Once a contract has been negotiated and my services have commenced, I will endeavour to keep you updated about your child's progress, not just verbally through regular discussion but also by providing written records when necessary. If and when required I will provide parent's with a daily care sheet, which will detail your child's daily routine, including any outings, activities, what they ate, etc. Full time children will also be given their own special 'Learning Journey' book, which will include photographs, written observations, achievements etc.
I currently hold certificates in food hygiene, safeguarding and first aid, and as a member of PACEY, I have full public liability insurance.
I am unable to provide meals for children in my care, however, I am able to warm up pre-prepared foods and provide snacks.
I am confident that any issues or problems which may arise will be discussed and dealt with between myself and parents in an open and friendly manner. However, if after referring to my complaints procedure/policy I am unable to resolve any issues or complaints that you may have, I will seek advice/support by contacting :
